Rainbow of cotton crochet necklaces

More of those lovely necklaces

Books, bags, scarfs and placemats

I made these for the shop and really enjoyed making them!

The granny squares are placemats made from 100% cotton twine.

The bookcover was knitted in a beige double knitting yarn with crochet flowers in various colours sewn on the front.

The pot holders/dishcloths are made from a thick cotton twine which gives it a more rustic feeling. It is very strong and you will not burn your hand if you hold this cloth.

The infinity scarf was the very first item that I knitted when we arrived here because my sewing machine was still in its box and not unpacked yet.

My suitcase with yarns and wool was within easy reach which explains why there is so many hand items and not any sewing.

This was fun as I had to work out exactly how many stitches will make the length of the scarf It's an acrylic double knit in a lovely wine colour.

Knitted items for toddlers and infants

I have made the knitted items to practice my pattern ready skills, since I am new to knitting amd crochet. I have been sewing my whole life and also knitted and crocheted as a young girl but not to this extend.

This included baby jersey, booties & mittens, girls' shrug & beanie and also knitted book covers. I also knitted infinity scarfs from acrylic wool and neck warmers from pure homespun wool - these are really warm and soft in winter!

Bangles

I have so many beads which I want to make into jewellery. Some beads I have has for so long that I actually feels like vintage beads that I got from my granmother and from my mother.

I found memory wire which is percfect for bangles. Most of the beads are now in bangles. I am keeping the blue glass bangle and the darker seed bangle - another great way of making your wardrobe look new!
