Flower baby corduroy iPad cover
This blue/brown flower baby Corduroy has served it purpose many fold.
I originally wanted to make a waistcoat - mmm...so 1980/1990's. Somehow, I could not find the time to make one but I think it was a question of not being sure if I wanted to be committed to such a 'girly' material which was very very distinct. In the end, 20/30 years later...I am now making the most magical backpack, iPad cover and memo/diary covers from it.
It is beuatiful as it has a lovely sheen to the fabric.
Upcycle denim memo/diary covers (4 covers)
These are remaining denim memo/diary covers I made.
It turned out to be a lot of fun. I had to make sure that every one was different eventhough I had to use the same idea, ie. the red heart trim (for a bit of "made with love") and the denim pocket on the front. This is for your pens, pencils, tissues or whatever you would like.
These denim ones were a lot more difficult as I used cut offs of jeans to make the sleeve. The jeans are also no longer 100% cotton. The newer jeans have 'spandex' in them so that they can stretch and therefore it will be a better fit on the body. Great for a good looking derrière, but regrettably not great for crafting.
Upcycle memo/diary covers (6 covers)
I like to write in a little book my thoughts, plans and dreams that I have. These thoughts might not always be mine...I also write little things that my children say that I think is very cute.
In a way, it is a secret diary but since no once really knows what the covered little book is, by secrets are always save. Then again, in my family, there are no real secrets. I tell my children everything and I think that is way we have such an unique relationship. I would like to think that I do treat them as if they are adults, but I also tend to be a real mom and can nag them too if some things aren't done. I listen to by teenagers' (16) music....it's not that bad really (or maybe his taste is very mature!). I also play my little one's game of Clash of Clans. I am not really sure about this game - but it brings me closer to my 12 year old and it means a lot to him.
