Start of a new year

The start of the new year means that I hav a lot of new ideas.

I am going to make more things for myself - clothes, knitting and crochet.

Starting with clothes will be some new clothes for winter and summer that can be worn at the same time.

I have the most wonderful purple fabric for winter and a matching teal/blue for summer.

I hav cut a troused from the teal colour - its actully a very nice light weight summer wool which will work very well for those in between days. It actually does not get that cold here in Grahamstown, not freezing like Highveld winters, but cold enough to dress up in warm clothes. Winter stays around for a very long time in this part of the world - it is not uncommon to be dressed up in warm winter coats in Nov!

The opposite about heat is also there - Feb has been very hot 35C and 2 days later, it is 18C!

I hav knitted 2 throw-over jerseys, the first attempt was a red/brick colour and the second attempt a black/grey colour which you can wear at night.
