I made the 100% twine placemats some time ago for myself. The twine gives a rustic feel but because it is a smooth 'yarn' it does give a more sofisticated texture and look.
I have also made the coaster now to compliment the placemats - it is not identical which also looks better. Matching everything does not always work!
